What's Inspired Me This May | from founder Susan

Art school shows, colourful tableware + the great outdoors

I visited the Edinburgh College of Art Degree Show this weekend and was so inspired by the talent on show. It's open next week - details here - and I highly encourage you to go if you can. 

From fine art, to architecture and fashion, colour and form was everywhere to be seen. Being there reminded me of how important it is to share our world and what inspires us with others. 

It led me to start these monthly updates, which in time will bring inspiration from buyer events, new collections and trips overseas.

And for May, it's all close to home! The good weather has made everything feel accessible and joyous.

I've been loving our bright tableware from the La Pittura collection alongside fun hair accessories from Winona Irene. 

Last week we took a selection of products - think sunglasses, sandals, hair clips, fragrance, picnic essentials - from our Outdoor Collection to the beach to create some content and it was so much fun. A good reminder of what we have on our doorstep here in Edinburgh with beaches and parks nearby. Look out on our social media for that to drop soon, and be sure to say hi!

I have told so many people about Life Story and I love all the amazing things I purchased. Especially the ceramic coffee pot! They were so accommodating and even shipped the pot back home to the states. I will certainly be ordering again and will visit whenever I’m back in Edinburgh !
