    Natural remedies, traditional craftsmanship and a passion for linen is at the heart of this UK maker, founded by Swede Lo Blästa in 2017.

    Blästa Henriët works with sustainable linen flax and Cotswold wheat to create self-care products that provide relaxation, natural pain relief and everyday comfort.

    The fabric is sourced directly from the mill in Europe. Every other part that goes into making the products is done in the UK. This includes details such as the stitching, label making, plus the recycled product packaging and fabric printing.

    Earl of East

    Earl of East is creative business founded by Niko Dafkos and Paul Firmin in 2014.

    What started out as a shared passion project, has grown organically from side-hustle to a thriving business. A love of fragrance and a desire to build something of their own led them to develop a line of home fragrance products, which has since expanded from just three candles to a line that encompasses, candles, incense, home mists and bath and body products, all of which are produced by themselves in London.

    Susan's favourite fragrance is Onsen, reminiscent of Japanese bathing rituals and featuring heavily in the Lifestory collection.

    ferm LIVING draws on Scandinavian design traditions and simple aesthetics - but with a distinctive edge that makes every item firmly contemporary. ferm LIVING is rooted in Denmark, where Trine Andersen founded a graphic design studio in 2005. The decision to start her own business sprang from a personal vision of a bird on a branch, ready to take off. That bird remains a part of the ferm LIVING logo today.

    Lifestory was the first boutique in Edinburgh to stock the home range (from 2005) and we work closely with the brand to bring the full range to our customers, including made-to-order items such as sofas and chairs.

     

    Wooden Decorative Trees

    These collectable, abstract tree ornaments are hand-turned on a lathe so that each one is unique.

    We use off-cuts form a wide variety of woods and turn a them into different shaped Trees. This way each one ends up with its own unique character. These look great as a small collection on a mantlepiece.

    Danish company Paia's soy candles are designed to look perfect in your home, whether it is styled minimalistic or bohemian chic, while still taking care of the environment. 

    The first collection is a series of scented candles based on organically grown soy beans grown by North American farmers – a biodegradable and renewable resource. Paia added organic cotton lead-free wicks and poured them into high quality, mouth blown glasses in elegant colours.

    The sandals, which include a unisex style, are characterised by the eye-catching cotton ribbons that form a fine braid pattern. The insole is made of airy, durable canvas fabric from the jute plant, which has a cooling effect and is very comfortable underfoot. Best of all they are washable!

    Studio Arhoj, located in Copenhagen, Denmark, is a small independent design and production studio run by founder Anders Arhoj.

    Anders Arhoj began his work in interiors and design while studying in Tokyo, Japan in 2005. After moving back to Denmark he began operating a small design studio from his apartment in Vesterbro doing graphic work, identity, branding and kids illustration - and eventually moving into the world of ceramics.

    The Edinburgh print is a collaboration with Lifestoryreflecting our shared passion for beautifully crafted architecture. The work originated as a photograph taken by Susan from Lifestory, and was noticed and subsequently drawn up by STUDIO ROMUU as a first collaboration between us.
