SGW Lab

Artist Yuta Segawa founded SGW Lab in 2018 as a ceramic studio with a mission to think about the significance of craftsmanship in the context of textile designer, activist and artist William Morris. Although known for his textile and wallpaper designs these days, he as a great influence on the revival of the British textile industry and also as a forerunner in the green movement in terms of production methods.

Yuta's team of 6 explore and practice the beauty created by handicrafts, inspired by the Arts and Crafts movement and the concept that art should be made by the people for the people.
