STORE ASSISTANT VACANCY
Part-time, permanent position
An exciting new role has opened up in Lifestory for a Store Assistant and we welcome applications from experienced candidates.
The Store Assistant role requires a friendly, capable, efficient and energetic individual, someone who has exceptional attention to detail and an interest in design and interiors.
To be successful in the role you'll be someone who truly cares about the customer experience and enjoy assisting customers in their journey with us.
You will have demonstrable experience gained in a retail environment that reflects similarities to Lifestory e.g. a brand or lifestyle or concept store, and you must be a self-motivated individual who is capable of taking responsibility for all aspects of the store when on duty. An aptitude for creating and maintaining aesthetically pleasing store displays is welcomed.
We need someone who can bring a skillset and experience from current/past roles whilst being open to undertake training to develop skills as and when necessary in this evolving retail landscape.
There is scope to use and develop any wider skills you bring to the team e.g. marketing, barista, product photography. You should outline those in your application.
The role is predominantly focussed on the physical store and its day-to-day operations which includes customer service, stock management, receiving deliveries, processing orders, maintaining the store's cleanliness and appearance etc. You'll also support our growing online business as well as contribute to the behind-the-scenes work that makes for a successful store.

Salary details: £10.00ph starting hourly rate + annual bonus.
Benefits: Contributory staff pension scheme, generous staff discount and perks, coffee on tap. We break at Christmas/Boxing Day and all staff are off for at least 2.5 days at that time.
Statutory holidays of 5.6 weeks (pro-rata).
Days of work: The role is c25 hours per week which includes regular weekend work (though not every weekend). No late nights or very early mornings.
The days of work will be set on appointment - so there is scope for flexibility at the interview stage and this will form part of the discussion.
As a small retail team, holidays are covered by the team and it is necessary to take up additional hours in the peak season pre-Christmas when we plan our December rota.
Part-time, permanent position (3 month probationary period).
