Studio About Bob Candle Holder - Medium
Bob is a disc of glazed ceramic with a single well in the middle, designed by architect Mikkel Lang Mikkelsen for Studio About. The shape is plump and playful, the glaze high gloss, and the colours saturated enough to work as objects in their own right.
At 13 cm across, the medium Bob is built for pillar candles up to 50 mm wide, which gives it real sculptural weight on a dining table, a mantelpiece or a hall console. It's food safe as well, so it doubles as a dish for fruit, nuts or anything you want to keep together. Pair it with Studio About's graphic pillar candles, or group it with the small and large Bob in contrasting colours for a bolder arrangement.
Because of the way ceramic is made, small air bubbles and slight surface irregularities can appear in the glaze. These are part of the process rather than faults.
Candles sold separately, lifestyle shots show additional sized candle holders in the range.
